What it solves
In generative search, a user receives a single answer rather than a list of links. If a brand fails to appear in that answer, the user never even becomes aware that the brand exists. Traditional SEO deals with "rankings on the search results page," but generative search has no ranked list to click. BOIDA addresses this new problem.
Kiyoung Shin, Designovel's co-CEO, says: "Just as brands that ignored SEO ten years ago disappeared from search, brands that ignore GEO going forward will disappear from AI's recommendation lists."
How it works — from measurement to execution
BVI ties measurement and execution into a single flow.
1. Measurement — Brand Visibility Index
Enter a URL or brand name and it quantifies exposure across major generative AI engines along multiple dimensions, returning an AI visibility score (for example, a score out of 100), category ranking, brand authority, and competitor benchmarking.
2. Diagnosis — Technical GEO
It technically checks whether a website is properly readable by AI crawlers, examining rendering approach (SSR/CSR), structured data (JSON-LD), metadata, llms.txt, whether AI crawlers are allowed, and more. The criteria connect to the Technical GEO section of the What is GEO document.
3. Execution — Content GEO
After diagnosis, it designs content into a form that AI is likely to choose as the representative answer. It places the core answer up front, links trustworthy external sources, and organizes the material into cause–effect–action reasoning units. It is an end-to-end structure in which an AI agent executes improvements step by step.
Position in the market
BOIDA sits in the same category as global AI visibility monitoring tools (Profound, Peec AI, Otterly, Scrunch, and others), while being distinguished by connecting measurement through to content execution and by handling Korean-language queries and the domestic Korean context. Its position within the overall landscape is covered in Global GEO/AEO player landscape 2026.
